About Me
Hi! I’m Sharnita Krishnaswamy Prabhu, the creator of The Online Economy. I’m 17 years old, born on March 22, 2008, in Chennai, India, and I moved to the United States when I was just 5 years old. Growing up between two cultures has taught me the value of creativity, innovation, and hard work—values I bring into everything I do, especially this blog.
Why I Started This Blog
E-commerce is changing the world. From small businesses selling handmade products to global companies shaping the online marketplace, the digital economy is full of opportunities. The Online Economy is my space to explore it all—how online businesses grow, how marketing works, how entrepreneurs succeed, and how anyone with a dream (and Wi-Fi) can build something amazing.
My goal is to make learning about e-commerce simple, fun, and useful—whether you’re a beginner, a small business owner, or just someone curious about how online businesses work.
A Little More About Me
Outside of blogging, I’m an artist at heart. I love painting because it gives me the freedom to express feelings and ideas without saying a word. I also play the violin, which has taught me patience, discipline, and the beauty of practice.
Even though I’m still in high school, I’m passionate about learning, building new skills, and one day starting my own business in the online world.
